March 2008 - Spring is here? What a crazy winter. We are starting to see some of the ground in our paths to the barn (first time since Dec 6th!) Snow removal is still going on around the barns. Melting snow is leading to floodin problems we want to keep under control. Cyndi & Meghan will be heading to the North American Alpaca Show in April. We will be located with the Alpaca Package Resource group. We will not be bringing any alpacas, but will be there to help the group.
June 2008 - We have been busy! We really enjoyed going to NAAS, without the stress of showing alpacas. It was great to help the other farms showing theirs! Meghan did get to spend some time in the show ring. She did the youth rings and also some halter classes for the other APR farms.
We had a visitor for about a month, Elf's Shelly came here to hang out with Tori. Now Shelly is home and she took Tori with her. Tori now gets to hang out with girls her own age.
Next in our game plan, we are getting ready for Alpaca Package Resource's Pen sale. It will be held at Elf's Garden Center on August 2. A flyer has been added to the events page with all of the details.
Oct 1 2008 - The pen sale went well. We had a few visitors that were interested in the alpacas.

Tori & Ami are home. Tori came home just a few days before Chantilley's cria arrived. Chantilley had a little beige girl that we have named Cynjim's Misae (Missy for short). Her name means White Sun from the Osage tribe. Ami arrived home last night after a positive ultrasound. She was at Elf-Paca Meadows being bred to Grand River Vencel.

The Rochester fair went well. Wakiya and Moki were our alpacas spending a few days there.

Next up is the New England Coastal Classic. As with the North American show, we will just be volunteers. No alpacas this year.
Oct 7 2008 - Roosters have arrived at Cynjim!! These roosters needed a home so Cyndi & Meghan went to pick them up Sunday 10/5. They have settled in nicely! This breed is a Cuckoo Maran. They are fun to watch & Missy loves to race around them!

Nov 2008 - Tipioni arrived while the girls and Cyndi were at the NECC show. Jim called to let us know that there was now a chocolate brown girl on the farm. Missy now has a buddy to chase roosters with. Meghan ventured out with Elf-Paca Meadows and Blue Opal Alpacas to the Green Mountain Spectacular in Vermont. She had a very good time. Cyndi went up and met them (& to check out the show).
We are now gearing up for the Holiday Tour. Cyndi will be Elf's Garden Center in Rochester, Nov 29th, and most likely at Sallie's Fen in Barrington Dec 7th. Cynjim will alpaca products at the Strafford School PTO Craft Fair on Dec 6th, and Meghan & Jenna will also be there selling their handcrafted jewelry.

May 2009 - Wow it's been a long time! Since November, we have endured an ice storm, winter came & went, we attended the NAAS with the other APR farms and started raising chickens. Cyndi went and bought 30 chicks (Thanks Elf's for letting me order with yours!). They are now ready to head to the big outdoors.

Shearing was done here May 2nd. 13 alpacas in less than 6 hours. We have 2 more to do. We will be bringing them to Sallie's Fen on May 16th as part of a shearing demo. It's part of the Alpaca Package Resource's 5 year anniversary. There is a link on the home page that opens a PDF file that tells all about it.

I almost forgot! There is now a new farm here at Cynjim's. Meg's Alpaca Meadows was started here in February. Meghan bought her own alpaca, TMF's Capt Jack's Trevor. We will soon have a page on the site for her farm!
November 2009 - Again, wow it's been a long time! Where to begin.....Chickens have moved outdoors, the alpacas didn't seem to mind.

Cynjim's Posala was born on Cyndi's Birthday. She was suppose to be a nice chocolate brown, but ended up being true black. She is very friendly & enjoys playing tag with Meghan. Cynjim's Meoquanee arrived in August. She is a very shy girl, color wise she is close to a med brown.

Meghan & Trevor entered their first show. The New England Coastal Classic, run by our friends at Elf-Paca Meadows & Sallie's Fen. Trevor won a few ribbons in the Public relations classes.
Things are finally slowing down around here so I hope to update more often!
